Cheddar Truffle Popcorn
OR CHEDDAR POPCORN, your choice!
Popcorn…we love popcorn. I don’t even know when and how this all started. Perhaps in my childhood, I was just as excited to eat popcorn at the movies as watching the actual movie. It’s the little things that line our life and make it beautiful.
Yes, I just said that. Popcorn is beautiful HAH!
Little Chef is a huge fan of popcorn as well. Not is he just a fan he is extremely particular with his concoctions. One of the concoctions is Cheddar Truffle Popcorn. This popcorn will be making an appearance on Halloween. Currently, it is the favorite in the Delish In A Pinch kitchen. He’s an eleven-year-old that loves truffles. He doesn't like vegetables or pasta but this he loves!
I am sharing an image of the products we used for this popcorn. If you change the truffle oil or powder you will get a different taste. Truffle Oils can be finicky and they are not made equally. We are not sponsoring these products.
Hera’s Pinch
Replace the truffle oil with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and it will be cheddar popcorn, which is a perfect alternative if you don’t like truffle.

Ingredients
Instructions
- Place freshly popped popcorn into a bowl and drizzle the truffle oil over the popcorn, mix it lightly. Then add cheddar powder and mix until well incorporated.
Notes:
You may use microwave popcorn just make sure it is very light butter and no salt. You can pop it on to stovetop as well. We use a popcorn machine with 1 tablespoon of Olive oil to 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels.
If using a stovetop, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil and 3 popcorn kernels in a heavy-bottomed pan. When you hear a kernel pop, then add 1/3 cup kernels, cover the pot, and wait 30 seconds before returning it to medium heat. When the popping starts, gently shake the pot over the heat source to prevent the kernels from burning. Continue shaking until most kernels have popped and you can’t hear many moving against the bottom of the pan. Turn off the heat and continue to shake. Hold the lid over the pot for a few seconds in case of a last-minute pop.
